Video Shows What's Going on Underground
On September 9, this farmer seeded cereal rye and radish into standing corn. The seeding rate was 48 pounds per acre. Part of the field was harvested before October 16th, and then the rest of it was harvested on October 23rd.

This is some fairly impressive cover crop growth - the "green carpet" effect.
View from Below the Ground
Obviously, when it comes to cover crops, it's much more important to see what's going on below ground than it is to have impressive top growth.
