The farmer planted this mix on March 30:
25 pounds alfalfa
3 pounds CISCO Dry Hay Grass Mix
3 pounds STF-43 Forage Tall Fescue
35 pounds Spring Triticale
He noted that it “seems to be the perfect amount [of triticale].” It “kept weeds out but didn’t seem to slow down the alfalfa like heavier amounts did.”
So far, the grass component of the mix is still fairly short and not visible in the available pics.
