Treasure Trail is a perennial trail mix for deer and other wildlife. It’s meant to be planted in a wooded area. The goal is for quiet travel, not for a food source.

Treasure Trail - First Spring
The pictures above of the new Treasure Trail mix show that it survived its first winter.
I am pleased with the stand and the new growth. It’s about 10-12 inches tall on May 9th (Mason, MI area) - the grass stand is quite thick and it still has a good amount of clover.
The deer and turkey are using the trail a lot but there is no sign of them eating anything yet - which is a good thing. In my opinion, most other shaded trail mixes use too many tasty species because the growth in the shade is so much slower than in the sunny fields, the shaded trail mixes end up getting destroyed.
I supposed that could still happen here with our mix - but so far so good.
